This is the 2nd interview session about the ICC online weekend.
Thanks to COVID19, a lot of activities couldn't take place. However, some activities went online instead, and so did this year's ICC weekend organized by ICC Belgium! After the ICC weekend, I recorded two interview sessions with participants and staff members of this weekend to talk about how we experienced ICC Belgium's online approach.
Deutsche Bahn has recently introduced a new form to request assistance which is not only easier to handle; you can additionally generate a service code to save your personal data for future requests. Pawel tried out the MOIA app and booked a ride... In this episode we'll explain how it works... Touring the city and its surrounding areas, visiting casstles and museums, joining meet-ups and helping Pawel to fix his broken bed… Most of the time – especially during my first visit – we were accompanied by Pawel’s flat-mate and some of his friends. Some of the highlights during my stay were a guided tour through … Continue reading So what have we done in Luxembourg?
I know, it's been a long time I posted something Scandinavia trip specific, but better late than never... Obviously, no good trip is complete without at least a few photos, videos and/or audio recordings! We presumed it would have been a bad idea to put Julien, Moritz or me in charge of the filming. 😉 … Continue reading Scandinavia Trip 2018 video
Indeed, I added Luxembourg to my list of countries I’ve already visited, thanks to Pawel, who lived there for an internship at the European parliament and who invited me to come over, so I visited him twice last Summer. Actually, this was supposed to be my 3rd new year’s eve in Belgium if I wouldn’t have got sick last year. Anyway, just as in 2017-2018, we celebrated NYE in a camping house in Roeselare and, together with some friends from Germany and the UK, spent a few more days in Gent… I already went … Continue reading NYE #2 in Belgium

I‘m Luana, a friend of Patrick‘s. (...) In February, I got back in touch with a former classmate of mine, Luca, who is spending a year working in Canada and invited me to visit him. Catching up with an old friend and doing my first overseas journey was a combination I certainly couldn‘t miss out on.
Of course, I didn’t leave a suitcase in Berlin but actually, I wanted to find a better title for this post than „A short trip to Berlin“ and this German saying was the first and so far only thing that came to my mind, so there we are. 😉 Also, this song expresses how nice … Continue reading “Ich hab noch einen Koffer in Berlin…”
I'm sorry, chaps, I've obviously been following BBC's radio comedy "Cabin Pressure" too much... Anyway, Moritz and I have indeed been to Zurich this weekend to catch up with Marcus where we met some of his friends and checked out different places, typical Swiss products and Swiss food. We came in by train on Friday … Continue reading This weekend: Zurich!
On Febuary 1st this year, Deutsche Bahn's mobility service center (MSZ) has discontinued their support for certain public transport companies, so handicapped travelers had to contact those companies directly in order to arrange assistance. We have a saying in Germany: "Die schönsten Geschichten schreibt das Leben" and I can definitely confirm that life comes up with the most beautiful stories. The only … Continue reading A short trip to Belgium on broken trains
Since Febuary 1st, Deutsche Bahn's mobility-service center (MSZ) has discontinued their support for certain public transport companies. This is due to the reason that, according to DB, these public transport companies would like to organize assistance for handicapped people themselves rather than taking advantage of the procedures used and provided by the MSZ. In a … Continue reading New Deutsche Bahn MSZ Regulations
And thus, another great event organized by ICC Belgium has come to an end... but hang on, that doesn't mean I have already finished writing how it actually went: Organizing my stay wasn't too difficult, as ICC Belgium took care of the accomodation and further organization of the entire ICC weekend, so the only thing … Continue reading ICC Weekend edition #1 in Antwerp, Belgium
